Want to help the band?
Use your State educational tax credit for the Mesquite High School Band and find comfort in directing your tax dollar.
Go to the District's Tax Credit Page and click on the Tax Credit Contribution Form link. In the specific EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY space, write in "Band" and then the student's name you wish the credit applied to. It is also helpful to inform the band of your tax credit donation so they can keep an eye out for the paperwork to come through the system.
If you would like to take your tax credit using a credit card you can do so online from the District's Tax Credit Page. Just click on the Online Tax Credit Contribution link and follow the instructions. Fry’s Cards - $$$ To Your Student’s Account:
Its EASY to participate in this “free money” fundraiser!! Simply contact Susan Stewart norabutler@cox.net to purchase a $5 Fry’s Card which is linked to your student’s band account. Put money on it each time you shop at Fry’s (you can do this IN LINE, prior to the scanning of your groceries) then use it to pay for your groceries. A percentage of what you spend with it goes into your student’s account twice a year, in Feb. and Aug. These are great to get for extended family and neighbors, too!

Last semester we used our Fry’s Cards enough to bump us up from a 5% to a 6% deposit into our students’ individual accounts!! We purchased a total of $77,861 using Fry’s Cards, and at the $75,000 level the percentage increases to 6%.
Let’s all use them so that we can keep earning the higher rate!
Here is how it works. First you go to the School Pop website using the link provided below. Then you choose where you want to shop. They are affiliated with many popular online stores like Amazon, Sears, Travelocity, etc. When you choose an online store to do your shopping you will be forwarded to their site just as if you went their directly to shop except now Mesquite High Bands will receive a portion of the money you spend.
